Amid investigations to identify rioters in last week’s insurrection, the FBI discovered photos of the son of a Brooklyn judge and arrested him for his involvement.

As the New York Post reported, the government agency noticed Aaron Mostofsky — the son of Kings County Supreme Court Judge Shlomo Mostofsky — after seeing him in several photographs from the siege, including one where he dons a fur pelt and Capitol Police bulletproof vest. He was detained on Tuesday (Jan. 12) after officers arrived at his brother’s Midwood home to apprehend him.

The Trump supporter, like many others who breached the Capitol, admitted he went to Washington D.C. in opposition of the “stolen election.”

“We were cheated. I don’t think 75 million people voted for Trump — I think it was close to 85 million,” he explained. “I think certain states that have been red for a long time, turned blue and were stolen, like New York.”

Mostofsky faces four charges, including theft of government property, unlawful entry to a restricted building and disorderly conduct. He can serve up to a decade in prison if convicted.

The judge’s son joins multiple others who have been nabbed for their alleged involvement in the turmoil that occurred in the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Republican Del. Derrick Evans of West Virginia, horned rioter Jacob Chansley and Adam Johnson — the man who stole Nancy Pelosi’s lectern — were taken into police custody. Two Capitol Police officers were also suspended from their jobs.

The FBI — who suspects the Capitol attack was an inside job — is in the process of finding and identifying other rioters who ravaged the government building. They recently expressed interest in analyzing GPS metadata that helped to determine Parler users were among the insurrectionists who stormed the U.S. Capitol and called for a recount in the election results.
