Just last week, Coi Leray enlisted Dess Dior and Maliibu Miitch for her new “Merry Xmas” track. Now to ring in the new year, she unleashes another song with a visual to match. On the freshly released “GI Joe,” she delivers her verse ensuring her and her crew stay strapped:

I keep an FN for my safety. Gotta watch out for n***as who hating. They just want the information. Wanna know my situation42 shots, no chaser. Hop in the foreign, we racing. It’s just me and the bro at the table. Having money conversations. Had to tell my bitches we don’t fuck niggas if they told. Throwing dirt on my name, bitch, I hope you choke. I just had to dump my new n***a, shit got old, and all my n***as got guns like GI Joe.

Back in August, Coi Leray dropped her EP Now or Never, and afterwards she gifted fans with the music video for the project’s intro track and fan favorite “Slide” featuring Gunna. The Now or Never project included features from Kiana Lede, Sevyn Streeter, and fellow Jersey native Fetty Wap.

In a previous interview with REVOLT, Coi Leray explained the meaning behind her last project’s title:

As an artist, we’re always eager to drop music. You have to always figure out how to meet them halfway. Sometimes, if they feel like we’ve got to take certain steps to get to the next level to be a superstar, then we’ve got to do that. At the same time though, I’ve still got to be an artist and drop music. It’s either now or never, we’ve got to apply pressure. Not now or never with them, more so either we drop this music now or we’re never going to be able to. F**k around and probably lose our chance.
