It’s been a year and some change since Marteen delivered his last project, but isn’t stopping him from linking up with his fellow west side comrades to shoot visuals fans want. His latest offering is a video for the Guapdad 4000-assisted “Old School,” which sees the two chilling in the city as Marteen opens up the track with his buttery smooth hook:

Hop up in my old school Benz, you can bring all your friends. Just send me your address. Rollin’ through the Oakland hills, we never staying still. You know how this shit feels, ayy. Hop up in and let’s just live, without all of the stress. Put that in the past tense. Hop up in my old school Benz, you can bring all your friends. Just send me your address, Ain’t no tellin’ what we might do, yeah. I just wanna spend some time with you. There was something when I met you, yeah. But it wasn’t the right time for you, and now we got it. Anything we need you know we got it.

The song is taken from Marteen’s 2019 release 8. The project is equipped with 10 total tracks and sees assists from G-Eazy, Guapdad 4000, TAEYONG, Sage The Gemini, and KAIKAI. His singles last year included “Freak” and “straight to the point.” At only 19 years old, the Berkeley-born singer-songwriter is making strides to be a very promising act in the pop and R&B space.

Most recently, Guapdad repped his city in the best way he knew how on “Oaklandish” alongside Rayven Justice and the Bay Area legend Too $hort.  Guapdad dropped off his street racer “Alpha” music video and swiftly followed up with a hilarious video for its official remix featuring Bfb Da Packman. This year, Guap can be heard on features like “HALO HALO (Remix)” by Shawn Wasabi and also on the deluxe version of Deante Hitchcock’s BETTER album on the introspective track “Déjà Vu.” Guapdad 4000 shared his Dior Deposits project back in 2019, which included a lengthy list of guest appearances including names like Maxo Kream, Denzel Curry, Slimmy B. G-Eazy, and more.
