Following some heavy rumors this week, today sees Eminem revealing the deluxe edition of his eleventh studio album Music To Be Murdered By, dubbed as Side B, which adds on 16 additional tracks and new collaborations with DJ Premier, Ty Dolla $ign, Dr. Dre, Skylar Grey, and more. Accompanied by the new release is a visual for “Gnat,” which is produced by d.a. got that dope and sees Eminem rapping about current events like the presidential election and COVID-19:

“They say these bars are like COVID, you get ‘em right off the bat, infected with SARS and Corona, like you took a bite off of that/

And it goes from martian to human, that’s how the virus attacks, they come at me with machine guns, like trying to fight off a gnat/”

Directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett, the video is as wacky as you can imagine. The self-proclaimed Slim Shady is seen wearing a hazmat suit, fighting off CGI gnats on a television show, getting shot at by an angry boyfriend, and other random moments of that nature. Viewers will certainly need to replay this clip a few times to catch all of its quirkiness.

Released back in January, Music To Be Murdered By was released with zero announcement — much in the same way as 2018’s Kamikaze — and scored 279,000 album equivalent units during its first week of release, earning Eminem the honor of becoming the first artist to collect ten consecutive number one albums. The accomplishment also meant that the Detroit legend was also one of six artists to have ten number one albums in their catalog, further placing him in very exclusive territory. Music To Be Murdered By has also since earned a Gold certification.
