For his latest video, rising singer Sainvil has enlisted Harlem’s very own Melii to be his co-star in “HBK.” The blue-tinted sensual visual sees the two bringing the lyrics to life, and on the track, Melii makes sure to throw in her signature Spanish-speaking bars her fans love:

Is it troublesome when I been on the East side? Working on me, baby, need to ease up. See, they admire like Selena, Mona Lisa. I’m a work of art when I’m all pieced up. Full of conversation, flowing, getting deeper. Swimming in my watеrs, you know how to tease her. Just say you need hеr, you need her. Sé quien tú quiere y necesita en tú vida. Ooh, tell ‘em like hold up, hold up (Tell ‘em, tell ‘em). Baby, know you rocking with a big baller. Meet me on the strip if you real wanna. You real, real wanna. Hop up in the whip what’s the real on us, what’s the deal on us?

In October, Sainvil released his 2020 Was Hijacked EP and the seven-track project included guest features from Boogie and Melii. The new MARZ-directed visual sees Sainvil and Melii battling to fight the tension between them, but they ultimately give in at the end and they can’t help but to let their inhibitions go. “HBK” stands for Heartbreak Kid, which is a reference to the famous professional wrestler Shawn Michaels. Via press release Sainvil states the song’s title and video are a metaphor for the guy who desperately wants to be emotionally unattached as well as belong to the streets, but in actuality, he just wants to devote to that special someone.

This year saw the released of Melii’s new single “You Ain’t Worth It” featuring 6lack. It’s been more than a year since Melii delivered her debut album phAses, which boasted 14 tracks and additional features from Tory Lanez, Odalys, and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. 2019 also saw an EP from the New York multi-talent titled MOTIONS.
