Diddy – Dirty Money’s Last Train To Paris turns 10 years old today (Dec. 14) and, in celebration, the REVOLT Chairman is sharing some behind-the-scenes clips from the album’s recording process.

In one video, Kid Cudi could be seen joining Diddy in the studio to listen to one of his beats. Although the then-26-year-old didn’t appear on the album’s final version, he did start to create a melody for one of its tracks.

“Now or never,” Cudi can be heard rhyming repeatedly. He added, “Just gotta get that flow and figure out something.”

Another video sees Busta Rhymes in the studio getting an early listen of the track “Strobe Lights,” which featured Lil Wayne.

“It’s not left at all… it’s perfect. It’s [the] future,” Busta says of the song. The “Break Ya Neck” MC also got to hear album cut “Angels,” which saw a posthumous verse from The Notorious B.I.G. and Rick Ross.

A third clip sees Diddy reflecting on when he first played Last Train To Paris for Pharrell, who dubbed it “the new Black.”

“This shit, this whole fly Blackness done went global,” Diddy says in the footage. “So, I played this shit for Pharrell in the infantile stages. That ni**a ain’t never amp me up. He said, ‘I ain’t gon’ front, ni**a. You on to the new Black.’ And I’m running with that.”

“This shit is the new Black,” the Bad Boy Records founder continued. “We got a lot of shit inspiring us to be who we can be. We got Obama. We entering our fuckin’ 20th year doing this shit. We should be able to be the essence of who we want to be. This shit is the new… We making new Black all around.”

Last Train To Paris peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 upon its release in 2010. The album saw a variety of guest appearances, including Wayne, Biggie, T.I., Drake, Usher, Chris Brown, Swizz Beatz and more.
