Tyla Yaweh taps Dame D.O.L.L.A. and DDG for “Stuntin’ On You (Remix)”
The original version was blasting through speakers since summer 2020.
After all the good reception Tyla Yaweh’s “Stuntin’ On You” garnered when it was initially released this summer, the smash hit just got a fresh new paint job. The star enlisted fellow rappers DDG and Dame D.O.L.L.A to assist him with the official remix, and the three of them linked for a music video which is available now. On the track, Dame’s flow fits the song’s vibe with ease:

The Orlando-raised, LA-based Tyla Yaweh launched his career with his 2019 project Heart Full of Rage, which boasted equal parts trap, hip hop and rock. Along the way, the project, which included the break-out song “High Right Now,” and subsequent singles like “I Think I Luv Her” ft. YG, “Understand Me,” and recently “Tommy Lee” featuring SAINt JHN and Post Malone.
In an interview from earlier this year, Tyla expanded on the easygoing and no rules process he follows when concocting his hits:
I freestyle most of my music. Sometimes we have dope songwriters that come around. They don’t even have to write, but they hear me freestyle, and they’ll just start throwing out certain bars. But I just freestyle everything…melodies, it’s all off the rip. Sometimes I’ll sit down and write something, but it’s light. I go bar to bar for everything. It’s hard to write cuz it’s hard to just sit. I got ADD. I gotta get it out right away even if it’s a heartfelt song. I’m one of those people who bring the mic out wit’ ’em. I just be smokin’, swinging in the chair. I hear a beat, I hear the first 5 seconds, and I’m like, “pull it up!” That’s how I work. Come up with an idea. 15 minutes we have a song.
