This Sunday (Dec 6), marks the 15 year anniversary of T-Pain’s very first album Rappa Ternt Sanga. To celebrate the milestone, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter/producer has dug into his archives and dropped the new The Lost Remixes, a package of unreleased hits accompanied by a unique throwback video highlighting memorable parts of T-Pain’s career.

The new release is 18 tracks long and spoils longtime fans with unheard versions of his classics. Cuts include unreleased verses, live performances, and remixes. A version of his smash hit “Buy U A Drank” with a Kanye West verse makes an appearance, along with another acapella version of the song with Yung Joc. The project opens up with a live recording of T-Pain beatboxing a live at the Roxy Theatre, Los Angeles and closes with a performance of “Can’t Believe It” in the same venue.

In an interview from earlier this year, T-Pain gives an update on where he’s at during this point in his life, which is ultimately free, unapologetic, and proud:

“I’m doing everything myself. I learned enough from the game in previous years, and [I’m] trying to really articulate my own ideas instead of a team of people trying to do what they think is best for T-Pain. I think this is the most free I’ve been, and the most creative I’ve been in a while. I’m real proud of this album right now. I’m always always going to have something to prove. I don’t care what you think of me. Auto-Tune or not, I’m still putting out smashes — it don’t matter what it is. Even if I was the Auto-Tune guy, I’d still make smashes. I use Auto-Tune a lot, but guess what? I make a lot of money off it.”
