Mac Miller was an artist with a seemingly never-ending vault of music, and Styles P has just confirmed the existence of yet one more unearthed track. On Saturday (Nov. 28), which was also The LOX rapper’s 46th birthday, Styles hopped on Twitter to reflect on his collaboration with Mac.

“I have a song with Mac Miller I never heard I believed Neptune’s produced it,” he announced. “I don’t know if it came out and I missed it or they never released it. Would love to hear it.”

What Styles is most likely referring to is Mac’s unreleased EP Pink Slime, which was produced by Pharrell Williams. On Twitter, one fan mentioned Pink Slime and directed Styles to a 2015 episode of the “A Waste Of Time” podcast, where Mac spoke about the project with host ItsTheReal.

“We put an EP together, and that was right before the resurgence of Pharrell happened,” Mac said at the time. “I would’ve looked cool… We had features — like this joint with Styles P; me, Pharrell and Styles P.”

Pink Slime would have featured appearances from Styles, Curren$y and others, but Mac ultimately decided to hold off on the project and drop Watching Movies with the Sound Off instead.

“I think, at that point, I had to make this decision — which I was proud of myself for making… Pharrell is this artist, who is this artist… [with] years in the game [and] who’s up here,” Mac explained. “I needed to cement my own identity and what I did first. I wanted to put out Watching Movies.”

Styles responded to the fan’s tweet about the podcast episode, writing, “I knew I wasn’t crazy I started thinking I was bugging!!! That shit was tough though!!!”

Although Pink Slime never arrived, Mac’s camp did release his posthumous album Circles — which was made as a companion project to Swimming

two years after his death.

Elsewhere on his Twitter trip down memory lane, Styles also recalled a smoke session between himself, Mac and Curren$y.

“I remembered me [Curren$y] and mac was getting stoned and Mac lighting mad cigarettes and me preaching to him about picking a side,” Styles wrote. “His energy was and is amazing!!!”

Spitta took note of the memory, adding, “Mannnnn good times.”
