November has been full of news of rappers being affected by violence, and now Phresher is sharing the details of a scary situation he encountered last week. The rapper took to Instagram to share an alarming image of himself at the hospital with injuries on his face that he says are from a robbery and attempted kidnapping.

The “Right Now” rapper shared a post on Instagram on Thanksgiving Day on Thursday (Nov. 26) to express his gratitude after surviving the attack he said happened last Friday. He shared with his fans that his car, money and jewelry were among the items that were stolen from him during the robbery.

“BEYOND GRATEFUL 🙌🏾 BEYOND THANKFUL 🙏🏾 Words cant describe how grateful I am today for my family and friends,” he wrote alongside a photo of his bruised and swollen face, and another one of himself with his family. “Last Friday I put my family, friends and team through a Real Scare. I was robbed at gunpoint … gun butted and almost kidnapped. They took my car, money, jewelry but they couldn’t take my spirit.”

“The Love & Hip Hop: New York” star added: “I’M STILL HERE and for that I am grateful to be able to tell you this because things could have been different. 2020 has been a difficult year but we gotta keep pushing. EVERY DAY YOU WAKE UP IS A GIFT … JUST OPEN IT! Remember this what don’t kill will only make you stronger.”

The rapper seemed to be doing better a week after the incident, and on Friday (Nov. 27) he shared a video on Instagram of himself working out and it seemed as if he is in good spirits despite the situation. “I’M STILL HERE 🙌🏾 Today is A GIFT … JUST OPEN IT‼️🙏🏾 Be Thankful … Be Grateful,” he captioned the workout video.

Phresher has been the most recent artist to survive a violent attack. Last week, Boosie Badazz was shot in Dallas, Texas, and earlier this month Benny The Butcher was also shot while in Houston. They are both recovering. REVOLT wishes Phresher a speedy recovery.
