There’s no question about it that Jeezy is a legend in the game. His first project dropped back in 2001 (under the name Lil J), but it was the year 2004 that became the start of a run that would be cemented as one of the greatest in Hip Hop history. His Streetz Iz Watchin mixtape with DJ Drama was the kickstart he needed to deliver timeless mixtapes and albums through the years like Trap Or Die, Thug Motivation 101, Can’t Ban The Snowman, Thug Motivation 102, The Last Laugh, The Real Is Back (1 and 2) and many more!

One of his most cohesive, memorable projects to date, however, is his third studio album The Recession. Dropping at the perfect time back in 2008 right before Barack Obama got into office, The Recession served as somewhat of a savior for us when it seemed like everything around us was crumbling at the time. Today, 12 years later, Jeezy returns with The Recession 2.

In recent times, there’s been a great amount of blessings coming The Snowman’s way as well as significant events happening for us Hip Hop fans. Jeezy recently inked a new deal with ex label Def Jam as the Senior Advisor to Label Chairman as well as other business endeavors that will certainly benefit he and his family moving forward — and for a very long time.

In addition, the CTE front-man recently made amends with his former rival Rick Ross after years of beef. In even better news, while their beef is certainly still intact, Jeezy and Gucci Mane were able to sit in the same room together for their epic Verzuz battle held in their hometown Atlanta. If you’re a fan of the two and know the history of their beef, you know their VERZUZ battle is probably the biggest/most important thing to happen in Hip Hop this year.

This indeed has been a huge week for The Snowman and The Recession 2 is just made it even better. Tap into Jeezy’s 10th studio album below!
