After warming fans up with his “Go Live” single featuring YG earlier this month, Mitch officially delivers his Better For You project. The body of work clocks in at a short and sweet 25 minutes long, with eight songs and features from names like Ty Dolla $ign, BEAM, ilham, Day Sulan, Ann Marie, Yung Pinch, and of course YG. Right from the intro track “No Disrespect,” Mitch sets sultry the tone of the project:

“You gon’ have me thinking ‘bout you all day. 8701, bring it over my way. Tell me what’s gon’ make you stay? Baby, help me make the play. We can even fuck in the back seat. Do it two times if you nasty. When we fuck is the only time that I call you out your name.”

4Hunnid Records signee Mitch shared his debut project, SPACE back in 2018. The new “Go Live” track isn’t the first time Mitch and YG have collabed, as the SPACE body of work contained two features, both of them by head honcho YG. Mitch also delivered a smooth verse on YG’s “Do Yo Dance” back in 2019. Most recently, Mitch shared his 2020 single “Like This” featuring Ann Marie, and before that he provided assists on “Touch Her” by RKGTS. He dropped off his 7 song EP Girl Power last year, which included guest appearances by DaniLeigh, Too $hort, and Arin Ray.

In a previous interview, Mitch detailed how cooking up beats eventually led him to his opportunity to work with YG:

“I made beats up until 2016. I was hungry to impress YG so I would send him 20 beats a week. Came out to meet up with YG in 2016 and made a song with him. I was making hooks to help support myself while I sold beats. I was singing on the hooks for YG to help get his beats. I went on an FDT Tour in 2016 and recorded I Know and YG kept me on it.”
