Boosie Badazz seems to be on the mend after he was shot in Dallas, Texas where he went to celebrate the life of his fan and friend Mo3. The “Wipe Me Down” star took to his Instagram Story on Sunday (Nov. 15) to thank his fanbase for wishing him well during the recovery process.

“I’m good,” he told fans of his condition. “Appreciate all the happy birthday wishes and get well soon wishes.” He appears to have returned to his regularly scheduled program as he announced he’s posting promotional advertisements today (Nov. 16).

Boosie was shot on Saturday (Nov. 14), which also happened to be his 38th birthday. The Lousiana rapper was reportedly in Dallas, Texas strolling through the city in his sprinter van when somebody opened fire on the vehicle, striking him in his leg. The gunman broke away, while Boosie was brought to a nearby hospital and treated for a gunshot wound below the knee.

The night before, the Louisiana star attended a vigil honoring the life of Mo3, the second half of the Badazz Mo3 mixtape. The Dallas rapper, like Boosie, was also fired at, but the shooting he was involved in resulted in his death.

According to TMZ, Mo3 noticed he was being tracked after a vehicle followed him from his friend’s home to a gas station. He quickly made his way onto the highway in an attempt to lose the vehicle, eventually crashing his car. He exited the car and tried to run away, but he was shot in the back of the head and died in a hospital nearby.

Following Mo3’s death, Boosie took to social media to mourn the loss of the Dallas native. “M LOST FOR WORDS,” he tweeted. “MY BOY MO3 SEE U WHEN I GET THERE.”

While Boosie recovers, Benny the Butcher is also healing as he also sustained a gunshot wound in his leg. Westside Gunn posted a photo of the Griselda star laying back on a reclining chair as his injured foot was elevated.
