Hitmaka and 50 Cent took to social media on Saturday (Nov. 14) to reveal that Jeremih was in the hospital battling COVID-19, sending shockwaves through the hip hop and R&B world. The singer is currently on a breathing ventilator in the intensive care unit at a hospital in Chicago, according to TMZ, and his fellow celebrities are sending their love and prayers his way and asking fans to do the same.

“I need everyone to pray for my brother @jeremih. This message is posted with his mother’s blessings,” Hitmaka said in a post. “My dawg changed my life. He gone pull thru. Pray for @jeremih,” he added. “We need that energy [prayer emoji]… Pray for my brother. He gone shake back @jeremih.”

“Pray for my boy @jeremih he’s not doing good this covid shit is real he’s in ICU in Chicago,” 50 wrote, confirming the seriousness of the “Planez” singer’s condition.

Jeremih, who is a frequent collaborator with some of music’s biggest stars, received a lot of love from some of hip hop’s heavyweights following the news. “Praying for my dawg @Jeremih,” Wale tweeted. Big Sean wrote: “Prayers up, praying for your strength @Jeremih.”

Chance The Rapper and the R&B crooner released a joint mixtape in 2016 for the holidays called Merry Christmas Lil’ Mama, so he was quick to take to Twitter to ask for prayers for his friend and collaborator. “Please if you can take a second to pray for my friend Jeremih, he is like a brother to me and he’s ill right now. I believe in the healing power of Jesus so if you can for me please please say a prayer over him,” the Chicago rapper shared.

“My family’s Love and Prayers for a speedy recovery for a Legend @jeremih,” T.I. shared on Instagram. Fabulous urged his fans to pray for Jeremih’s recovery. “Prayers up for my dog @jeremih..Everybody ask God to keep his hands on him & be blessed to pull thru 🙏🏾,” the rapper wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of him and the “Don’t Tell ‘Em” singer.

R&B legend Toni Braxton reacted to the news on Twitter writing, “Keeping Jeremih in my prayers.” Trey Songz, who was also diagnosed with the virus earlier this year, also shared a message. “@Jeremih we love you and we praying for you!” the “Circles” singer wrote.

Keith Powers expressed his concern for the singer’s condition. “Need more info on Jeremih. Shit got me nervous. I hope and pray he’s ok,” the actor tweeted on Saturday. “All prayers up for Jeremih, covid is not a hoax, it’s serious and we ARE LOSING TOO MANY PEOPLE!!,” “Saturday Night Live” alum Jay Pharoah wrote.

The team at REVOLT wishes Jeremih a speedy recovery.
