It’s been some months since relative newcomer RMR dropped his first official project DRUG DEALING IS A LOST ART, which saw nine tracks and appearances from Westside Gunn, Future, Lil Baby, and Young Thug. This week, it’s been announced that the masked artist will soon release a new project of sorts titled 4th Quarter Medley, which will consist of “re-imagined songs and interconnected videos” broken down into a three-part series. To give fans a taste of what to expect, RMR also unveils a new drop titled “The Wishing Hour,” which is a more explicit flip of Matchbox Twenty’s Yourself or Someone Like You classic “3 AM” — much in the same way as RMR’s breakout single “RASCAL”:

“She puts it up his nose and tells him order more bottles, he’s never worried ‘bout things like that, she knows his credit card pin, but that’s really his fault, and she’ll only dance when it’s raining…/”

The visual for the Do Betters-produced track starts with RMR in his dressing room with tea in hand, preparing for an apparent show. Once summoned, he heads on stage with his equally masked-up band and performs, only for everything around him — including the cup of tea — to freeze in suspended animation. The scene then changes to him in a presumed therapy session (with Amber Rose, perhaps), giving viewers a tease of what’s next to follow.

In a fairly recent interview with High Snobiety, RMR spoke on his reasons for keeping his anonymity:

“I want people to like the music first before they start liking me, because I think I’ve got a good personality. My mom thinks I’ve got a good personality too. But I want people to like the music before I start coming up and doing clout-chasing things.”
