Just last month, Rod Wave dropped off his music video for “Shooting Star,” and is showing no signs of slowing down as he circles back around with a new video for “All Week.” In the new song, Rod Wave does what he does best and spits a reflective verse fill with emotion:

“Thinking ‘bout my kinfolks, wishin’ I can help ‘em. But I’m only one man, already too much on my schedule, Too much on my schedule. I do what I can do. It be too much on my brain, wish I can live inside the booth. I’m in Atlanta with my troops, let’s go in and wreck the booth. Tone just poured another deuce, I’m moving slowly off the juice. Hope I don’t OD off the juice. But it is what it is. Thinking ‘bout my momma and kids, ain’t life a b**ch?”

Rod Wave dropped off his Pray 4 Love project this past April, which saw 14 tracks from the St. Petersburg, Florida star. That album has since earned Rod Wave the number two spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to an impressive 72,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release. Looking to continue its momentum, August saw a deluxe version of Pray 4 Love, which added 11 cuts to the overall project, including the tracks “Sack Right” with Yo Gotti and “Rags2Riches 2” with Lil Baby and ATR Son Son. Rod Wave recently joined the likes of Lil Keed, Jack Harlow, MulattoPolo GFivio Foreign, and NLE Choppa as this year’s XXL Freshman class.

In a recent interview, Rod Wave opened up about how making music gave him purpose:

Yeah. I feel like before music, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. I didn’t know where I was going to end up. I was scared to even have people depending on me. I just wanted to get away and do my own thing. So if I fail, I fail on my own. But now, I’m making music and actually living life and being the one that people depend on. It feels good. It gives me a reason to wake up. It gave me a purpose. It made me want to live and have kids. Live and see 50, 60. Because before music, I was ready to crash out.
