Following 2019’s “Make That Cake” with Doja Cat and “Pony” with City Girls, LunchMoney Lewis returns with a new track titled “Cheat,” which is produced by Halatrax and Phil Phever and, as the title suggests, is all about stepping out on your relationship for the hell of it — all while over one of the most dance-worthy beats heard this year:

“Baby you should cheat, tonight, just from three to six, be mine, baby you should cheat, tonight, skip the politics, one time, why your man let you leave with that dress on? Always sittin’ at home, waitin’ by your phone/

I can’t even lie, girl you look so, good, any will go home with you, if he could, I know that, you came to this party, lookin’ for somebody, I got a nightstand, we’ll leave your ring on top…/”

Via press release, Lewis further explained the creation of the light-hearted new single:

“‘Cheat’ is a record I did for fun that turned into a good idea. I like making people dance about things that are traditionally taboo. it’s a song you can 2-step to with your wife or girl and just forget about life worries, at least for a moment.”

As an artist in his own right, LunchMoney Lewis first broke through the proverbial ceiling with the hit record “Bills,” which both charts and earn different plaques all over the world back in 2015. That single appeared on the Miami multi-talent’s debut EP of the same name. This past April then saw his second EP Songs in the Key of Quarantine, which boasted songs with perfectly-timed titles like “Toilet Paper” and “Quarantine Blues.” Currently, he’s said to be working on his forthcoming full-length effort A Good Time For No Reason.
