Will.i.am believes people who vote for Donald Trump to be president are much like those who stay in abusive relationships.

In an interview with “Good Morning Britain,” the Black Eyed Peas frontrunner expressed his concern about how the president’s voters continue to support him because they don’t know how to leave. “That’s [like] with any abusive relationship,” the musician said on Tuesday (Nov. 3). “There’s people [who] stick with their spouses and go through abuse because they don’t know how to leave. That doesn’t mean that they’re happy, they just don’t have the strength or the courage to get out and change and switch it up and have faith in something else. That’s all they know.”

“For the past four years, people have settled and just [taken] the embarrassment and ridiculous antics of how he behaves and how he divides and how he steers hate,” Will.i.am continued. “Another four years of that would be detrimental for the course of America. We’re in 2020 now, by 2024 the world is totally different.”

In the last few days, there have been a few celebrities who came forward with their support of Trump. Lil Wayne recently took to Twitter to endorse the president for reelection.

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump,” the “Let The Beat Build” emcee tweeted. “Besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the Platinum Plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”

Lil Pump is another hip hop artist who is publicly supporting Trump. On Monday (Nov. 2), he spoke during a Trump rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan. “Hello, everybody,” he said. “How you guys feeling? I come here to say, Mr. President, I appreciate everything you’ve done for our country. You brought the troops home and you’re doing the right thing. MAGA 20, 20, 20. Don’t forget that.”
