We are just a few days away from Election Day and the world was shocked — but not surprised — that Lil Wayne endorsed Donald Trump to be president for another four years.

Trump shared a few details about the meeting with the “A Milli” emcee to reporters outside of the White House on Friday (Oct. 30). “He’s a really nice guy,” the president said. “He’s really an activist in a very positive way. And he asked for a meeting and we had the meeting and as you saw the meeting went very well. Lil Wayne.”

On Thursday (Oct. 29), Wayne tweeted out a photo with Trump and officially endorsed him to be president.

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump,” he tweeted. “Besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the Platinum Plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”

Wayne immediately became a trending topic on Twitter as many fans were disappointed with his choice. Producer Bryan Michael Cox made it clear that the Young Money star had no bearing on his political opinion. “First of all, Lil Wayne is the very LAST nigga, Ima take any critical advice about the state our country and the state of our people…,” Cox tweeted. “So there’s that.”

50 Cent, who recently redacted his support for Trump, poked fun at Wayne on Instagram. The Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ emcee shared the photo of Weezy and the president and captioned it, “Oh no WAYNE. I WOULD HAVE NEVER TOOK THIS PICTURE.”

50 is all too familiar with the criticism Wayne is receiving. Earlier this month, he announced his endorsement for Trump after seeing a news image of Joe Biden’s proposed tax rates for people who make over $400,000 a year. He ultimately had a change of heart after his ex, Chelsea Handler, called him out.
