The pandemic has caused a lot of people to pause and reflect on their lives. Beyoncé is one of those people.
The “Single Ladies” singer recently opened up about wanting to slow down and enjoy this time she is sharing with her husband JAY-Z and their three kids. “I truly cherish this time with my family and my new goal is to slow down and shed stressful things from my life,” she said in an interview with British Vogue. “I came into the music industry at 15 years old and grew up with the world watching, and I have put out projects nonstop.”
Queen Bey says she’s been so busy with work that she has not gotten a lot of time to focus on her own happiness.
“I released Lemonade during the ‘Formation World Tour,’ gave birth to twins, performed at Coachella, directed Homecoming, went on another world tour with JAY, then Black Is King — all back-to-back,” she continued. “It’s been heavy and hectic. I’ve spent a lot of time focusing on building my legacy and representing my culture the best way I know how. Now, I’ve decided to give myself permission to focus on my joy.”
It doesn’t look like the Houston native is slowing down any time soon, however. On Thursday (Oct. 29), Beyoncé dropped the highly anticipated second release of her Ivy Park collaboration with Adidas. The drop, which consisted of unisex athletic and streetwear pieces, reportedly sold out in less than five minutes in the United States on the Adidas website and app.
Track pants, track jackets, sneakers, fanny packs, belts, socks, sports bras, tights, bodysuits, shorts, dresses, hats, beanies and more were included in the release. The sizes for the clothing pieces ranged from XXXS to 4X and were priced from $25 to $200.
