Back in 2018, New Orleans rising star Young Greatness was tragically shot and killed, putting an end to the rappers journey before his time. Today marks the two-year anniversary of his transition, and Cash Money boss Birdman has decided to honor Young Greatness by liberating a new collaboration titled “Plaques,” which sees the two artists rapping about their lavish lifestyles over production from Damas Petit and D-Roc:

“Give me my plaque, n***a got scared of me, man, my s*** started jumpin’ now they put the flame on me, man, plaques on my wall, lifestyle, we ball, girl take it off, I just wan’ cool out in a Wraith/

I’m makin’ like thirty-five in a day, I like all the plaque, walk-in every day, they ain’t wanna see me with it, they played on me from beginnin’, I f***ed ‘em up, I shine, shine in the Bentley, my Tom Ford’s mad exquisite, I ran it up/”

Taking to Instagram, Birdman also revealed that the collaboration took place in 2017, and that there is a video that exists for the hard-hitting, melodic cut. Hopefully, he’ll reveal that to the world as well.

Last year, Birdman teamed up with former Hot Boy and Cash Money alum Juvenile to create the joint effort Just Another Gangsta, which saw 12 tracks and an additional feature from NLE Choppa. Prior to that, he introduced the world to his Rich Gang collective, including Rich Homie Quan and a now-iconic Young Thug. His Rich Gang compilation album was released in 2013 and originally boasted 13 cuts and a slew of assists from Chris Brown, Future, Rick Ross, French Montana, Kendrick Lamar, then-YMCMB members Lil Wayne, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Mack Maine, Jae Millz, Cory Gunz, Gudda Gudda, and more.
