This week, YFN Lucci returns with a new cut titled “Sept 7th,” which sees the Atlanta star waxing poetic about past struggles, current successes, and the haters throughout his pathway to the top:

“I swear I used to have a heart, it went ghost on me, I put my trust in a n***a and he stole from me, I said I can’t let no n***a take my soul from me, all I need is money, I don’t need no woman, yeah/

You can’t save everybody you gotta pick and choose, my daddy always tell me not to be a fool, my auntie died when she was young, it left me critical, Muffin died when she was young, it left mе miserable…/”

The Young Kim J-produced cut also comes with a matching visual courtesy of DrewFilmedIt. The clip shows YFN Lucci with his entourage in Miami, complete with plenty of jewelry, a bevy of Rolls Royces and Hellcats, and — presumably — various attempts at healthy social distancing given the current state of affairs.

“Sept 7th” follows a slew of dope releases from YFN Lucci this year, including the quick strike EP Corona Pack and the full-length release HIStory, Lost Pages, a project that acts as a deluxe edition of last year’s HIStory. HIStory, Lost Pages sees 22 cuts and additional assists from Jackboy, Trouble, Kevin Gates, Yo Gotti, City Girls, Rotimi, Bigga Rankin, Derez De’Shon, and more. In addition, fans have also seen videos for “VVS,” “Freestyle” with Bandhunta Izzy, “Dec 23,” “America,” “Designer Junkie” with Bankroll Freddie, “Wet (She Got That…),” and more.

2018 saw the release of YFN Lucci’s only official studio album to date, Ray Ray From Summerhill. In addition to the aforementioned HIStory, he also teamed up with DJ Drama for the 2019 joint effort 650Luc: Gangsta Grillz.
