Ice Cube breaks silence about Trump administration allegations
Ice Cube says he just spoke to both parties about his Contract with Black America.
Ice Cube has responded to claims he helped develop Trump’s Platinum Plan for Black Americans.
“Facts: I put out the CWBA (Contract with Black America),” he tweeted on Wednesday (Oct. 14). “Both parties contacted me. Dems said we’ll address the CWBA after the election. Trump campaign made some adjustments to their plan after talking to us about the CWBA.”
The Ride Along star’s tweet comes after Trump’s campaign members Katrina Pierson and Diante Johnson thanked Ice Cube for his involvement in the Platinum Plan.
“So @icecube has officially given the Trump campaign permission to reveal that he has been helping us develop President Trump’s groundbreaking Black Trump platform: The Platinum Plan!” Johnson penned in a tweet.
“Shoutout to @icecube for his willingness to step up and work with @realDonaldTrump Administration to help develop the #PlatinumPlan,” Pierson’s tweet read. “Leaders gonna lead, haters gonna hate! Thank you for leading.”
Ice Cube’s sentiments mirror comments from his previous post on social media.
“I’ve been making contacts trying to talk about these real issues. Straight up, I believe the Democrats have — they’ve been nice,” he said in a video posted on Sunday (Oct. 11). “They’ve been cordial, so to speak. I don’t really see them pushing their policies in any different direction. They’re still talking this minority, minority, people of color shit that don’t necessarily include us. That don’t necessarily include Black Americans, especially descendants of slaves.”
“We also met with the Republicans and shit,” he continued. “They brought us in. We talked to ‘em. They’ve moved their agenda a lot because of what we said. You know, they put $500B on the table.”
Trump’s Platinum Plan will reportedly “increase access to capital in Black communities by almost $500 billion.” It will also create three million new jobs for the Black community and 500,000 Black-owned businesses.
