Preme and Popcaan connect with Davido for “Comfortable”

The track is taken from the OVO duo’s forthcoming ‘Link Up’ EP.

  /  10.12.2020

Currently, OVO Sound artists Preme and Popcaan are gearing up to release their collaborative EP “Comfortable.” Over the weekend, the collaborators liberated a single from the project titled “Comfortable,” which features assistance from Davido and sees production courtesy of Jaegen. The island-styled cut centers around the duo professing their love for their significant other on the dance floor, something that I hope we can return to in 2021:

“My girl you’re nuh easy, poppin’ like wheelie, p** p** too greasy, wrist dancin’ like Breezy, we drunk and in love, nеver lonely, we drunk in this club, dancin’ off bеat, I’ve been on road, grindin’ all week/

When I get home, you’re grindin’ on me, down on ten toes, gotta stay free, got too many n***as dependin’ on me, got too many mouths out here that I feed, and all your love is all that I need…/”

“Comfortable” follows the previous single “MURDA,” which also belongs on Popcaan’s August release FIXTAPE, which saw 19 tracks and additional assists from Drake, Stylo G, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Jada Kingdom, and more. In addition to well-received mixtapes over the past decade, Preme’s debut LP Light Of Day made landfall in 2018 and saw the Canadian emcee rapping with the likes of Lil Wayne, YG, Offset, Ty Dolla $ign, and Post Malone. That same year also saw Preme jump on Tiësto and Dzeko’s chart-topping house cut “Jackie Chan.”

The song’s feature has been busy as well. Following his last full-length body of work A Good Time last November, Davido has delivered plenty in 2020, including visuals for “D&G” with Summer Walker, “Intro,” and “Fem.” He’s also contributed to songs like Khalid and Disclosure’s “Know Your Worth (Remix),” Snakehips and Jess Glynne’s “Lie For You,” and Sevyn Streeter’s “Kissez.”

Check out “Comfortable,” as well as the tracklisting for Link Up, below.

Link Up tracklisting:

  1. “Wining Queen”
  2. “Freeze”
  3. “Weekend”
  4. “Comfortable” feat. Davido
  5. “Love Cost Too Much” feat. BEAM
  6. “MURDA” feat. French Montana
