Singer and producer duo THEY. have released their newest single “Losing Focus,” featuring Wale. The track is set to appear on the duo’s forthcoming album The Amanda Tape, which will arrive Oct. 23.

“This track has a bit of that mid 90’s bounce to it, I wanted to have the feel of a TLC record and there’s only a few people that really know how to ride that type of track,” says Dante Jones about why the duo decided to get Wale as the feature. As expected, the DMV rapper delivered, as he raps a verse that will make you want to find that special someone:

“One day, I’d like to share a Sunday. And we can do a lot by doin’ absolutely nothin’. I’m smilin’ too hard, nah, you don’t be tryin’ too hard. Sometimes I look at the sky and think how fire you are. Look, Mother Nature, God, who has Wale become? Told them b**ches take a hike, now we takin’ nature walks. I ain’t tryna make a wife, I ain’t tryna make a forced.”

The new “Losing Focus” track follows “Play Fight” with Tinashe, “STCU” with Juicy J, and “Count Me In” which will all be on the upcoming project. In Wale related news, his last full-length project, Wow… That’s Crazy, was released in 2019 and included features from Rick Ross, Meek Mill, Kelly Price, Ari Lennox, and plenty more. More recently, he dropped off a six-track EP in June titled The Imperfect Storm.

In a recent interview, Dante spoke about how he’s learned to manage expectations as he navigates through life:

“I’ve learned that you can’t have too many expectations. Expectations are a dangerous thing. At the end of the day, you got to understand that it’s two different people with two different aspirations, and you got to respect each other’s space and each other’s own path. I think that it’s good to just be accepting. That’s one of the main things that I’ve learned. People grow and develop. It’s about being patient.”
