It’s been a while since many have seen or heard from Kendrick Lamar, but not much has been able to get him out of hiding, that is until today (Oct. 6).

The DAMN rapper emerged as the voice of a “Blue Clues” stuffed animal just to set the record straight about his status with Top Dawg Entertainment.

Via TDE CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith’s Instagram account, he uploaded “a PSA from Kendrick Lamar,” dispelling rumors he left the label while simultaneously poking fun at Top Dawg.

“Top, you got to stop them from smuttin’ my name, man. They been smuttin’ my name all year, man. You ain’t said nothin’, man,” he said as “SpongeBob SquarePants” played in the background. “Enough is enough, man. Y’all done said I done shifted the label and all that, man. They must don’t know about that pickle juice that’s under your red cap, man. About that sweat — the sweat that’s holdin’ up that red cap together. Reason why it don’t fall off your head, man, that lubricant. You need to tell ‘em the reason why that cap don’t fall off your head. So, why would I fall off?”

The post also included a photo of Top and Lamar posing together with masks on.

Lamar is responding to speculations he left TDE to focus on the pgLang label he co-founded with former TDE executive Dave Free.

Prior to his resurgence, however, TDE president Terrence “Punch” Henderson took to Twitter to let fans know the claims circulating the internet were far from true.

“A rumor gets halfway around the world before the truth get it’s shoes on,” he tweeted. After Lamar silenced the noise earlier today, Punch followed up on his previous posts, tweeting, “Lol. I guess the truth got it’s shoes on.”
