A second grand juror in the Breonna Taylor investigation reportedly wants to come forward about deliberations in the case.

According to CNN, Louisville activist Christopher 2X told reporters on Sunday (Oct. 4) that another member of the grand jury wants to speak out and contacted him for advice on how to go about it. He said the juror wants to wait to see how the hearing regarding the first grand juror — who filed a lawsuit against the state to be able to speak freely about the case — will play out. The hearing is scheduled for Thursday (Oct. 8).

A judge gave Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron until Wednesday (Oct. 7) to respond to the first juror’s motion.

“The request being made by the Grand Juror is unprecedented, and it is important that all of the legal issues in the case are fully considered,” the attorney general said in a statement. “We understand there is considerable public interest in the case, and it will ultimately be up to the Judge to determine if Grand Jurors can share information from the proceedings. We remain confident in the case we presented to the Grand Jury.”

Last Friday (Oct. 2), the grand jury recordings were released to the public. They showed how Louisville Metro Police conducted the botched raid the night Taylor was shot and killed in her home.

Former LMPD Detective Brett Hankison reportedly fired his weapon through Taylor’s sliding glass patio door and window — which is a clear violation of the department’s policy to always have a clear line of sight before shooting.

Additionally, the officers did not have a clear plan for how they were going to execute the search warrant. LMPD was repeatedly told that there were no “suspicious” packages being delivered to Taylor’s home weeks before the raid took place.
