Cardi B is not pleased with Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron’s stance on the Breonna Taylor case, especially after results from a ballistics report conflicted with statements he made last week.

“I told you motherfuckers! I did a video a couple of days ago talking about this—that I will not believe the [Attorney General] or a fucking D.A. office with this bullshit ass story that they took so long to put out about this Breonna Taylor shit,” Cardi said in an Instagram video posted yesterday (Sept. 28). “I told y’all niggas I’m not going to believe the story because I heard the story out of Breonna Taylor’s own momma. So what am I going to believe? Breonna Taylor’s momma or these motherfuckers? I’m going with Breonna Taylor’s momma.”

Cardi’s comments come less than a week after Cameron announced the grand jury in the Taylor case charged former detective Brett Hankinson with three counts of wanton endangerment for blindly shooting into Taylor’s home back in March. He claimed that Sgt. Jonathan Mattingly and Detective Myles Cosgrove’s shootings were justified as they were defending themselves against Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker.

Walker shot toward the officers when they raided into Taylor’s apartment because he thought they were intruders. Cameron told reporters one of the bullets went through Sgt. Mattingly’s thigh, but the ballistics report revealed Walker’s gun was neither “identified nor eliminated” as the 9-mm bullet that actually hit him.

Cameron also stated that Walker was the only officer on the scene with a 9-mm, but the report revealed Hankison also carried a 9-mm handgun that day.

Cardi’s recent Instagram video was not the first time she’s addressed her thoughts on Taylor’s case.

“What they did to her is really fucked up. Really fucked up,” she said in an interview with Elle. “What’s the excuse? Why is the cop not in jail? Wasn’t what he did a crime? It’s a crime, and no apology…No video of the cop coming out crying, ‘I fucked up.’ Nothing. It’s nothing. I don’t even know how her mom still holds her head up. Unbelievable.”

The rapper also shared a previous post on her Instagram account stating Hankinson, Mattingly and Cosgrove “need to go to jail.”
