This past weekend, Fredo Bang revealed his latest project In The Name Of Gee, which boasts 15 new tracks and features from Kevin Gates, Mulatto, Petty Levels, Seven7Hardaway, and Gee Money, the late rapper that Fredo honors throughout his new mixtape. Following a slew of visuals for “Clock Out,” “No Security,” “Monsters,” and “Second Line” comes a new clip for the opening cut “How It Go,” a Hardbody and DJ Chose-produced message to all comers:

“Speaking on my name, better keep that iron with you, they say they down to ride, but ask them if they dying with you, my partner died, your partner died, you just don’t post your n***a, I call a play, youngin’ gon’ blitz, I’m tryna coach that n***a/

Toast a n***a soul with this Draco, you know it’s f***ing real, catch a n***a lacking, hit his stomach, I think I snapped a rib, walking line on papers, people watching but I’m thuggin’ still, your partner died, the price up on his head, you know I paid the bill…/”

As with all that came before it, the accompanying video removes all smoke and mirrors to show Fredo Bang in his rawest element, adding in a few high end luxury whips to remind viewers of his current success. Those that pay attention to the beginning can also hear Fredo Bang speaking on his car rental endeavor, a clear reminder that the grind will forever remain real.

Mere months prior to In The Name Of Gee, Fredo Bang released his official debut album Most Hated, which saw 12 tracks and assists from YNW Melly, Lil Baby, Moneybagg Yo, CeeFineAss, and Tee Grizzley. His breakthough project and first with Def Jam, Pain Made Me Numb, made landfall in 2018.
