While the polling strength of Kanye West’s campaign is still murky, the Jesus Is King rapper has still received plenty of high-profile support for his presidential run. ‘Ye was previously backed by YG, Chance the Rapper and Nick Cannon and can now add DaBaby to the list.

“Ima let y’all finish…. But you got me fu*ked up you think I ain’t voting for Ye,” DaBaby tweeted Wednesday morning (Aug. 12).

The announcement came after a complimentary Twitter exchange between the two rappers after Kanye tweeted out DaBaby’s signature “Let’s go!” ad-lib.

“Lesssgoooooooooooo,” ‘Ye tweeted out on Tuesday (Aug. 11), followed by, “Da baby ad lib by the way.”

DaBaby retweeted the shoutout and added his own tongue-in-cheek warning: “Use the ‘let’s gooo’ adlib at your own risk. It makes you unstoppable.”

DaBaby’s support for the presidential-hopeful arrives a week after Kanye filed as a candidate in Wisconsin. As reported by REVOLT, the rapper had to submit 2,000 signatures from state voters in order to be placed on the ballot. However, the signatures are still subject to approval by the Wisconsin Elections Commission.

‘Ye and his running mate Michelle Tidball filed as independent candidates running under The Birthday Party. According to the New York Post, he’s confirmed to appear on ballots in Colorado, Oklahoma and Vermont this fall. His petitions for Arkansas, Missouri, Ohio, West Virginia and Wisconsin are still being considered.

He’s expected to make it on the California ballot if he submitted his necessary 197,000 signatures by Friday’s deadline (Aug. 7), which his team has not yet confirmed.

DaBaby, on the other hand, recently dropped off the deluxe version of his third studio album, Blame It On Baby. The now 24-track effort saw an addition of 10 new singles, as well as the Black Lives Matter-supporting remix of his Roddy Ricch-assisted smash hit, “Rockstar.”
