Beyoncé made one of her fan’s day with a surprise phone call after the little girl was filmed crying while watching Black Is King. Tina Knowles-Lawson brought the viral video to her daughter’s attention after reposting it on her Instagram account last week. In the clip, the young girl sobbed as she said, “It’s so beautiful.”

“This has me in tears,” Lawson captioned the post. “It makes all the stress and worry, all the haters and negativity that was put out there to try to destruct, tear down and deter from her intentions. But this video makes it all worth while!!!! This is the message that Beyoncé worked so hard to convey, I prayed hard that the message would get through and that little Black girls everywhere could see the beauty that is in our Black people and our culture and our ancestors. She is beautiful and so is this!!!!”

The young girl’s aunt Rea Khoetha shared the news that Beyoncé personally called her niece Tshepang to thank her for her “beautiful” reaction to the film. “I really spoke to Beyoncé,” she tweeted. Someone replied to her tweet asking for the details about the conversation.

“NDA is a real thing, but basically she just wanted to personally thank my niece for such a beautiful reaction to her love letter to Africa,” Khoetha replied. ”She also wanted to tell her how gorgeous she is and tell her quote, ‘You are my gift.’”

Lawson reposted the video along with one of the tweets from the girl’s aunt. “I posted a little girl crying so hard after seeing Black Is King and saying it was so beautiful!!!! Beyoncé called her and talked to her! She was so happy!!!!!! This movie of videos, especially ‘Brown Skin Girl,’ touched so many girls and women as well!!! I was so happy she thought to call her in Africa without me asking her.”
