Back in April, Tate Kobang revealed his latest project Wrote On My Body, which saw 8 new tracks from the Baltimore artist. Now, he follows that with a new single titled “I Remember,” which sees production from YG! Beats and Tate himself. The track also features assistance from K Camp, who matches Tate Kobang with hard-hitting subject matter about issues from their respective neighborhoods:

“I remember givin’ b***h money for the kids, at the crib, and she went and spent it on Dolce, I remember when a man down, looked his mother in her eyes, and I told her everything gonna be okay…/”

“I Remember” isn’t the first time Tate Kobang and K Camp linked up — they also collaborated on the track “X B***h” back in 2018. YG! Beats, who is also a part of Tate Kobang’s 28 collective, also provided production for K Camp’s “Birthday,” which sees a contribution from Texas star Yella Beezy and is taken from K Camp’s Rare Sound compilation Rare Family, which was released in July.

While delivering high quality tunes for all of the past decade, Tate Kobang got a lot of attention after the release of 2015’s “Bank Rolls (Remix),” which was a flip of fellow Baltimore rapper Tim Trees’ 2000 single “Bank Roll.” The release of the track also led to his deal with 300 Entertainment, where he released high quality singles like “Oh My,” “Yeah,” “and “North North.” He’s also released a slew of highly rated projects since, including Tate Ko, Silent Waves, and Since We’re Here. Now independent and in a publishing partnership with Sony ATV, Kobang looks to rebuild his momentum with his latest drop.

Press play on “I Remember” below. Fans can also look our for Tate Kobang and K Camp’s visual for the track, which was recently shot in Atlanta.
