JAY-Z’s success is without words at this point, having conquered all facets of entertainment in his decades-long career. Given all of his current accolades, it only makes since for the Brooklyn legend to provide a reminder of past releases from time to time. This week, he decided to unearth three singles from the vault, bringing them to his TIDAL platform for its subscribers to enjoy.

The most recent of the three is The Neptunes-produced “Glory,” which features JAY-Z’s daughter Blue Ivy and was originally premiered on his Life+Times blog back in 2012. The other two, “What The Game Made Me” and “From Marcy To Hollywood,” are both from the 90’s and feature assistance from longtime collaborators Memphis Bleek and Sauce Money. “What The Game Made Me” first appeared on the Master P-driven I Got the Hook-Up! soundtrack while “From Marcy To Hollywood” appeared on The Player’s Club compilation.

“Glory” is notable for its timing, as JAY-Z released the emotionally-charged cut a little over a week after her birth:

“Last time the miscarriage was so tragic, we was afraid you’d disappear, but nah, baby, you magic, so there you have it, s*** happens/

Just make sure the plane you on is bigger than your carry-on baggage, everybody go through stuff, life is a gift, love, open it up/

You’re a child of destiny, you’re the child of my destiny, you’re my child with the child from Destiny’s Child, that’s a hell of a recipe. Glory! Glory!/”

As far as JAY-Z’s new music releases, he was a major part of Jay Electronica’s long-awaited debut album A Written Testimony, which was released back in March. He also teamed up with wife Beyoncé for the well-received album Everything Is Love in 2018. His last (and thirteenth) solo LP, 4:44, was released a year prior.
