Netflix has announced the additions of “Sister, Sister,” “Moesha,” “One on One,” “Girlfriends” and more classic ‘90s sitcoms to the streaming service. Along with the announcement, Netflix’s Strong Black Leads’ Twitter account also shared a celebratory video featuring stars from the shows, including Tracee Ellis Ross, Tia Mowry and Tamera Mowry-Housley, Shar Jackson, Essence Atkins, Pooch Hall and Jill Marie Jones.

“I am beyond humbled and honored at how much the fans continue to ride hard for this show — years later — and how it’s made a huge impact on the culture,” the group of almost 30 cast members says in the clip. “These shows changed the face of television as we know it and it helped for Black creators both in front and behind the camera. It has provided us with being able to be in the homes of people worldwide.”

“It’s going to give an opportunity for a whole new generation that’s going to be watching these shows on Netflix,” the group continues. “So thanks to anyone who ever made a social media post or left a message asking about these shows. It didn’t go unnoticed. You did it.”

The onslaught of shows — which will also include “Half & Half,” “The Parkers” and the first three seasons of “The Game” — is set to hit the platform as early as Aug. 1.

Netflix’s announcement arrives after the company showed support for the ongoing Black Lives Matter movement and created a new category to share Black stories.

“When we say ‘Black Lives Matter,’ we also mean ‘Black storytelling matters,’” the streaming platform said in a statement. “With an understanding that our commitment to true, systemic change will take time – we’re starting by highlighting powerful and complex narratives about the Black experience. When you log onto Netflix today, you will see a carefully curated list of titles that only begin to tell the complex and layered stories about racial injustice and Blackness in America.”
