Since the untimely demise of Juice WRLD on Dec. 8 2019, the industry has been filled with heavy hearts for the young Chicago star. The world loved his genuine soul and charismatic energy and he always delivered thoroughly within his music and performances across the nation. Prior to his departure, Juice teased that he wanted to release an album for his 21st birthday (Dec. 2) but never happened for undisclosed reasons.

Just one week after the release of Pop Smoke’s posthumous debut album Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon, Juice WRLD’s estate has provided us with a gift that we are very much grateful for — his posthumous album Legends Never Die.

In a lengthy Instagram post, his estate explained in the announcement:

“We feel that this collection of 15 songs best represent the music that Juice was in the process of creating. The album shines a light on the collaborators that meant so much to Juice and deeply impacted his musical process. Juice dedicated his music to his fans and, now more than ever, we hope this album brings some reprieve to everyone during these unsettling times.”

If you are a true fan of Juice WRLD, you know how often he loved to record music. With this in mind, it’s not surprising to know that he had about 2,000 unreleased songs that was considered for a posthumous drop. It’s pretty evident that his estate had a tough time choosing 15 records that would perfectly mold this album into what it is, but fellow Chicago rapper Lil Bibby (owner of Grade A Productions) confirmed a deluxe version for the project!

The rapper-turned-executive asked if he should add more songs to Legends Never Die. “Damn it seem like y’all really want more songs on the album so ima give y’all what y’all want cuz I know juice would probably do the same,” wrote Bibby on Twitter. “I see the list and recommendations of the songs y’all want too so if we go crazy on the first week then ima give y’all a deluxe too. Deal?”

It’s clear as day that the late Chicago star is going to rack up more than enough numbers in the first week to make this happen. Press play on Legends Never Die below. LONG LIVE JUICE WRLD!
