Last month, G-Eazy unveiled a new project titled Everything’s Strange Here, which saw the Bay Area star take a turn from his usual hip-hop bravado for a more stripped down, genre-bending collection of emotional cuts. He’s also created some dope visuals for songs from the release like “Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime,” “Nostalgia Cycle,” “Had Enough,” and “Back To What To Knew,” the last two seemingly being centered around his past relationship and its eventual end. Today, he lets go of an apparent loosie from those sessions, another simple-yet-very effective clip for “Sun Bleached & Dried.” The Dakari-produced cut keeps with the melancholy, almost-hopeless theme of the aforementioned drops:

“Underneath it all, I feel a sadness, but there’s something beautiful, hahaha, behind the madness/

Underneath it all, I’m torn apart, before we even fall, we probably shouldn’t start/

’Cause I’m a lonely man, ‘cause I’m a lonely man, this probably won’t work…/”

The accompanying “visualizer” shows a single shot of G-Eazy in a chair, singing the song’s lyrics while different hand-drawn photos of his face slide in front of him, seemingly changing the emotion that he projects to the viewer before going out of view.

Everything’s Strange Here follows the EPs Scary Nights and B-Sides, which were all released over the course of 2019. His last official studio LP, The Beautiful & Damned, was released back in 2017 and earned G-Eazy a number three spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to its 122,000 album equivalent units sold its first week out — it’s since been certified Platinum Currently, he’s working on his forthcoming album These Things Happen Too, which presumably acts as the sequel to 2014’s These Things Happen and is expected to make landfall by year’s end.
