Recently, it was announced that the world would receive Juice WRLD’s posthumous album Legends Never Die on July 10th. In addition, fans also got a new single from the late Chicago star titled “Life’s A Mess,” which features assistance from Halsey and sees the two lamenting about loved ones who held them down throughout their respective struggles:

“Have you fallen head over heels for somebody, that made promises to give you the world?/

I really hope they held you down, I really hope it was no lying ‘cause my heart breaks/

It feels like the world’s gone, but if the love’s real, you’d feel your soul roar like a lion, and you’d finally let bygones be bygones/

Don’t throw in the towel, I know it feels like you’re the only one trying, you just gotta learn to live and love on…/”

The accompanying visual comes courtesy of Chad Ross, and features some amazing work by performance painter David Garibaldi. The clip definitely brings the pop-esque ballad to life, leaving the viewer with a dope portrait of the collaborators.

“Life’s A Mess” follows the recent singles “Righteous,” “Go” with The Kid Laroi, “Tell Me U Luv Me” with Trippie Redd, and the Rvssian and Anuel AA-assisted “No Me Ame.” As previously reported by REVOLT, Juice WRLD’s mother, Carmela Wallace, spoke on the creation of the forthcoming album, which reportedly involved sifting through thousands of unreleased songs:

Juice was a prolific artist who dedicated his life to making music. Choosing how to share his upcoming music with the world has been no easy feat. Honoring the love Juice felt for his fans while shining a light on his talents and his spirit are the most important parts of this process to us.”
