As previously announced, August Alsina is delivering new music and a new episode of his docuseries to his fans in the days leading up to the release of his long-awaited studio LP The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy. Following the tracks “NOLA” and “Rounds” comes a new single titled “Work To Do,” which sees August singing about wanting to do all that was necessary to building a fruitful relationship with his girl:

“Oh yeah, it took some time, we made progress, I hold it down for you, we done put too much and I done lost too many friends/

So let’s make it official and work out the issues, together we gon’ win, if you take my life in the shape it’s in/

See me for the greatness I possess within, know you’ll get all of me, all my honesty, no part-time, girl I’ll climb, if you climb with me…/”

“Work To Do” also comes accompanied with the third installment of stateofEMERGEncy: The Rise of August Alsina titled “Scars,” which shows the now-famous Alsina on tour and meeting fans around the world. Viewers are see Alsina walking around with his family and friends around New Orlean’s ninth ward.

The Product III: State of Emergency and its preceding singles follows a slew of loose songs that August Alsina has released over the past few years, including “Drugs,” “Wait,” “Lonely,” “Wouldn’t Leave,” and “Like You Love Me.” Prior to that, the New Orleans crooner has earned a slew of Gold and Platinum certifications for the chart-topping songs “No Love” featuring Nicki Minaj, “Numb” featuring B.o.B and Yo Gotti, “Ghetto” featuring Rich Home Quan and the Trinidad James-assisted “I Luv This S***,” the last two of which could be found on his successful debut EP Downtown: Life Under the Gun.
