What a great day it is for Yo Gotti’s CMG imprint as Detroit’s own 42 Dugg falls in line on the Juneteenth album release day. The deluxe version of his latest album Young and Turnt 2 is here and it’s nothing short of heat. If you’re familiar with Dugg, you know how he’s coming in the booth and he doesn’t take his foot off the gas with this new drop. He’s unlike any other rapper right now and as he continues to carve out his own lane, he does it gracefully and tastefully. Now is the time to wake up if you’ve been snoozing.

42 Dugg is clearly ready for his time to shine in the spotlight. At the rate he’s going, he’ll be there in no time. For much of his life, things have been uncertain. The 26 year old has had difficulty staying out of trouble, getting locked up for six years early in his life and being forced to grow up in the hole. Beginning to take rap seriously when he was in solitary confinement, Dugg realized that he could make a career out of this, which would prevent him from needing to hustle to come up with money.

Fast forwarding to earlier this year, Dugg initially made his mark on Lil Baby’s song “Grace” and he’s been on fire ever since. Signing a combination deal with Yo Gotti’s Collective Music Group and Lil Baby’s 4PF, the Detroit rapper is easily one of the highest proclaimed rappers in the country right now. He is in high demand and, after hearing Young and Turnt 2 Deluxe, you’ll know exactly why.

The album includes a total of nine new records with features from Moneybagg Yo, Dej Loaf and more. As he recently stated, “With this deluxe, I just wanted to keep the momentum going and stay in my bag” — there’s no question that he’s doing just that.

Take a listen below and drop your favorite records in the comment section.
