Q Parker, formerly of 112, reveals he and Daron won’t be in Verzuz battle with Jagged Edge
Q Parker made the announcement on his Instagram.
Sad news arrived on Friday (May 22) for R&B fans, specifically fans of 112. Q Parker made the announcement on his Instagram that the highly anticipated Verzuz battle between the two groups will not include himself and Daron due to legal reasons.
For those who’ve been keeping up to date with 112 news, you know that the once-foursome now only has Mike and Slim as group members after much back and worth in court over the years. Unfortunately, their legal issues are now preventing two well-respected figures of 112 from joining the IG Live showdown that will take place on Memorial Day.
“Dear 112 fans, thank you for the outpouring love and support. It is incredible and we appreciate how much of your heart and souls you have poured into our careers,” the note Parker posted on his IG started. “We are simply blown away by the passion you have for our music. But, unfortunately, we will not be participating in the upcoming Verzuz with Jagged Edge due to an ongoing legal issue that is not settled.”
The message continued: “From our mouth to your hearts, Daron and I never quit 112 nor our fans. This is a fabricated lie and it is not our narrative. In due time, you will receive the true narrative. Until then, we love you and thank you again for your continued support.”

In an exclusive interview with REVOLT last year, Mike told us: “Actually, the other two former members (Q and Daron) of 112 decided to go in a different direction and that’s as layman as we can possibly make it. They decided to go in other directions and we wish them the best. But, we felt it was best that we continue the 112 legacy.”
When asked about reports of a lawsuit, the singer added: “It was a lawsuit pending, but it wasn’t necessarily towards Slim and myself, and these other two guys (the former members). It was the other two guys, and representation for Slim and myself.
“We tried to stay out of the law, as much as we possibly could, so we could avoid this because it never ends. Unfortunately, that could not be avoided and we, Slim and myself, we were actively supportive of the said party that was sued from the other two members.”
