John Legend has announced his forthcoming seventh studio album, Bigger Love. The “All Of Me” singer also premiered the video for the album’s title track on Tuesday’s episode of “The Voice” (May 12). The three-minute clip shows a compilation of home footage from fans around the world, who are staying virtually connected to their loved ones during social distancing.

“This video was made to celebrate our shared love, hope and resilience,” the EGOT winner told Vibe. “We’re all using technology to stay in touch and finding creative ways to cope and we wanted the video to be a big musical hug for people around the world who are finding ways to stay connected to family, help their neighbors and make time for a needed dance break despite the crazy circumstances we find ourselves in.”

Bigger Love will be executive produced by Raphael Saadiq. The album is expected to arrive on June 19.

During a recent chat with Nick Cannon on Power 106, Legend revealed he’s interested in a Verzuz battle against Alicia Keys.

“I think that’d probably be the best thing,” he said about a potential showdown with his “The Voice” colleague. “And, honestly, I think we would do it. If we did it, [it would be] like a dueling piano thing… I think we will.”

“For us, for me and Alicia, you know it’s our song, ‘cause we were the front person on them. We were on the radio singing them,” he continued. “But, for all of these producers, like Teddy [Riley], Babyface and all these others producers you’re like, ‘Oh I didn’t know they were behind that song,’ and that’s really part of the joy and the education of watching Verzuz. You’re really learning music history [about] all these hits that you love, and they’re telling you, ‘Oh, I was behind that.’”

Speaking with Joe Budden earlier this week, Verzuz co-founder Swizz Beatz confirmed that a Keys / Legend battle is in the works.
