Pop Smoke has earned his first posthumous platinum certification. According to Chart Data, “Dior” has been certified platinum by the RIAA. His single, “Welcome To The Party,” also went gold.

Earlier this week, Pop’s family and his former manager Steven Victor released a joint statement saying that they will continue to honor the late rapper’s legacy with posthumous releases.

“Bashar ‘Pop Smoke’ Jackson — so genuine, bright, loving and so full of promise. A rare soul, wise beyond his years whose smile, voice [and] mere presence would brighten the room,” the statement read. “He was all the things one could hope for in an artist, friend, leader and partner. Pop’s passing leaves us all broken-hearted with a wound that will never heal.”

“The public show of support and grief, by everyone touched by Pop during his lifetime, has provided some semblance of comfort during these difficult times for his family, friends and colleagues,” it continued. “Throughout the next year, we will be sharing new music as we continue to work to build Pop’s legacy. In conjunction with his estate, we will be making formal announcements on his foundation and music projects. We love him so much and miss him dearly.”

Victor previously told Complex that he plans on releasing a documentary based on Pop’s life. He is also working on creating a foundation in honor of the “Christopher Walking” rapper.

“I’m working really, really hard on this Pop Smoke album,” he told the outlet. “And I’m working on a documentary for him, too. And his foundation.”

Last month, 50 Cent said that he would be executive producing Pop’s forthcoming album. “I’m on the move listening to Pop smoke, I decided I’m gonna executive produce and finish his album for him,” 50 previously wrote on Instagram.

Back in February, Pop was fatally shot in his Hollywood Hills home. The four suspects are still on the loose and no arrests have been made.
