Tekashi 6ix9ine will reportedly be a one-man-crew for his upcoming music video, in order to adhere to restrictions caused by the Coronavirus. Judge Paul A. Engelmayer approved the rapper’s request to shoot music videos in his backyard last week. Since then, 6ix9ine has hinted that he’s going to drop something new this Friday (May 8), which will also be his 24th birthday.

According to TMZ, the home-confined rapper is being assisted by his security detail, who will film the video, while he stars in and directs it. The outlet also reports that another rapper could make a virtual appearance in the clip.

“I am writing today only to request the Court’s approval to permit Mr. Hernandez to spend up to two hours in his backyard, once a week, for employment purposes only,” 6ix9ine’s attorney Lance Lazzaro previously asked the judge in a letter. “He is looking to record music videos in his backyard. Probation is aware and has no objection to this request.”

“The defendant is permitted to conduct employment-related activities outside the residence but within the confines of the rented property for two hours per week on one specific day that needs advanced approval by the Probation Officer,” Engelmayer had responded in his decision. “Given structural interference with the GPS tracking device, the defendant’s hours in the basement of the residence will be limited to no more than an eight-hour period per day with a schedule as determined by the Releasee and approved by the Probation Officer.”

Shortly after receiving the go-ahead, 6ix9ine teased a forthcoming release, writing, “You ready? May 8th” on his Instagram Story.

The “FEFE” rapper has also reportedly been recording two full-length albums, one in English and the other in Spanish, to fulfill his contract with 10K Projects. 6ix9ine signed onto the two-project deal last year while he was incarcerated for $10 million.
