Vanessa Bryant received a very thoughtful gift for her late daughter’s birthday this year.

Pau Gasol and his wife sent a beautiful birthday cake to the Bryant residence to help them celebrate what would have been Gianna Bryant’s 14th birthday.

The cake was white and gold and featured a red topper that read, “Happy birthday Gigi.” The dessert was also covered with multi-colored butterfly decorations as well as a banner on the bottom with “Mambacita” written across it.

This nice gesture comes weeks after Gasol and his wife sent over a bouquet of red roses to honor Kobe and Vanessa’s 19th wedding anniversary. Vanessa shared a photo of the flowers to Instagram and thanked the Gasol family for sending the flowers on behalf of her late husband.

Anniversary flowers from my Kobe,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “Thank you @nataliabryant #GiannaBryant #BiankaBryant #CapriBryant @jeffleatham @catmcdonnell7 @paugasol.”

Yesterday (May 1), Vanessa celebrated her daughter’s birthday by wearing a red bracelet as as an act of kindness to honor her.

“Gianna loved to wear a red bow in all of her school pictures,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “Red means love and life. To commemorate Gigi’s birthday today, please consider wearing red, caption an act of kindness or show how you will play Gigi’s way since she always gave everything she did her all and led with kindness. Please use the hashtag #PlayGigisWay Thank you. 5-1-06 Mambacita.”

The bracelets will soon be available for purchase. All proceeds will go to benefit the Mamba and Mambacita foundations.

Kobe and Gianna were tragically killed in a helicopter crash back in January. The pair along, with seven others, were on their way to a basketball game at Kobe’s Mamba Sports Academy. The crash is still being investigated.
