This week saw Lil Baby liberating the Deluxe edition of his latest album My Turn, which sees an additional six tracks and a new feature from 42 Dugg added to the mix. He also revealed a new visual from the project for “Emotionally Scarred,” which sees production from Twysted Genius and shows a level of vulnerability from Lil Baby that sets him apart from his peers:

“A love letter came through the mail, it said, “I miss you,” I ripped it up and flushed with the tissue/

Try to forget you I ain’t got nothing against you, we human, we all got issues/

But I’m tired of being tired of being tired, that part of me done died I see it, then I don’t, act like I’m blind/

I’m confident it won’t be one of mine, I know emotions come with lies, so I tell the truth all the time/

Ain’t got no sympathy for no b***h…/”

The Keemotion-directed video successfully mixes footage of Lil Baby as this generation’s G.O.A.T. — featuring literal goats — with the rapper performing in front of a wall with the message “stay home” superimposed on it, a message to all who choose to defy quarantine protocol. Given that he also has a new single on My Turn (Deluxe) titled “Social Distancing,” it’s pretty evident that the Coronavirus pandemic and its effects are important to the Atlanta star.

Previously, Lil Baby delivered music videos for “Woah,” “Catch The Sun,” “Heatin Up,” “Forever,” “No Sucker,” “Grace,” and “All In.” He’s also been in the news for a statement he made on social media in regards to his worth as an artist under Quality Control:

“I told my label, they need to give me $5 million or I’m going to hustle, f*** it… I can’t be sittin’ in no house. I get money. Give me $5 million or I’m doing what I do… I don’t gotta sell no drugs. You know, I just hustle. Ain’t gotta be no drugs, just something. I know my label care about me. They don’t want me out, got damn, doing no bulls***, so they gon’ f*** with me.”
