Shortly after his virtual Nirvana tribute — which raked in over $4 million in donations for COVID-19 relief efforts — Post Malone is again looking to help out amidst the pandemic. On Wednesday (April 29), the Hollywood’s Bleeding artist pledged $1 million to a COVID-19 relief charity — but this time, fans will get to pick which one.

“Thanks to everyone that watched the stream the other day & helped raise some money & kick some ass!” Post wrote on Twitter on Wednesday (April 29). “I want to donate a million dollars but need your help doing it:)) text me 817-270-6440.”

According to a release from Post’s camp, the rapper will review text message submissions from fans using the CMNTY platform. Fans are encouraged to send Post their charity recommendations that will provide COVID-19 relief, such as organizations that support healthcare professionals, education, food security, homeless and veteran aid, mental health and more.

“Not everyone has the ability to financially support causes that may be close to them or that have helped them in the past,” Post said of the interactive donation in the release. “The fans are the absolute best and I want to give them the chance to give to charities that mean something to them.”

Post recruited Blink-182’s drummer Travis Barker, bassist Brian Lee and guitarist Nick Mack for his virtual Nirvana tribute on Friday (April 24), which was live-streamed from his Salt Lake City home. According to TMZ, the benefit raised $1 million in the first hour. Fans can still watch and donate to the performance on YouTube for the next 60 days. So far, the effort has raised almost $4.5 million. According to the event’s YouTube description, Google will match fan the fundraiser’s donations up to $5 million.

Proceeds from the benefit will go toward The United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for The World Health Organization (WHO) in support of COVID-19 relief efforts. Watch the performance below.
