Now free from his previous deal with Generation Now, Lil Uzi Vert is releasing music at will, having already dropped the long-awaited Eternal Atake and the Deluxe edition of Lil Uzi Vert vs. The World 2 last month. Now, he delivers a new single titled “Sasuke,” which is inspired by the popular “Naruto” character of the same name. Produced by Oogie Mane, the cut sees Uzi continuing his usual light-hearted, adult subject matter:

“I gotta keep this s*** classy/

I can make her left, right when she shake her ass cheeks/

Yeah, she’s so nasty…/”

Earlier this week, Lil Uzi Vert dropped a lyric visual for “Bean (Kobe),” a tribute to the late Kobe Bryant that features assistance from Chicago hip hop veteran Chief Keef. The Pi’erre Bourne-produced cut shows the artists mixing the legendary athlete into lines about expensive vehicles and and iced-out jewelry:

You know I’m ballin’, usual like Kobe, ooh, worried ‘bout a hater that don’t know me/

He say that he tough, then that boy gotta show me, pull up Bentley truck, extra poles, and we four deep/”

The song also comes in the midst of an apparent “beef” brewing between Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti. The two have been going back and forth on social media, with Uzi seemingly setting up his releases to drop at the same time as the Atlanta rapper. Given that they reportedly have a slew of unreleased songs together and were planning on releasing a project back in 2017, it’s hopeful that this is all leading to a surprise collaborative release.

In the meantime, fans can enjoy “Sasuke” and — if you missed it — “Bean (Kobe)” below. Given the current music output, I wouldn’t be surprised if Lil Uzi Vert has even more in store for the very near future.
