Tekashi 6ix9ine goes on cars and jewelry shopping spree following prison release
The rapper reportedly dropped over $300,000 on luxury items.
Tekashi 6ix9ine was released from prison into home confinement earlier this month (April 2) and is apparently making the most of his new situation. The “FEFE” rapper has reportedly gone on a luxury car and jewelry shopping spree, purchasing a fleet of new vehicles, such as an Aventador, McLaren, Rolls-Royce, Mercedes Benz G-Wagon and a new Range Rover. To top it off, he’s also bought a Richard Mille watch and a shark-toting chain that’s valued at $300,000.
According to TMZ, 6ix9ine has also started receiving booking offers for concerts. Venues in Saudi Arabia, Australia, Europe and South America have reportedly offered the rapper up to $500,000 per show and are looking to book him in late 2020 and in 2021. However, he’ll remain on house arrest until his prison sentence ends this August.
The outlet further reports that 6ix9ine has kept himself busy while in supervised home release by working on his two forthcoming albums. Back in October, the New York native signed a $10 million recording deal with 10K Projects while he was in prison. The deal requires him to release two full-length projects.
“What he’s gonna do is, he already has that advance for 10K Projects. So, he has to put out a Spanish album and an English album. So that’s what he’s going to be working on,” 6ix9ine’s attorney Dawn Florio previously told Complex after her client’s home release.
Although 6ix9ine was granted compassionate release due to Coronavirus concerns, other prisoners haven’t been as fortunate. YNW Melly tested positive for the novel virus earlier this month and will still remain in Florida’s Broward County Jail, where he awaits trial for his double homicide case. Melly’s attorney previously attempted to secure home release for his client, claiming that the jail did not possess the masks or cleaning supplies that are recommended by the Surgeon General and Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
