This past Friday, OVO Sound duo dvsn delivered their third album, A Muse In Her Feelings, which sees 16 new tracks and additional features from Summer Walker, Popcaan, Ty Dolla $ign, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Future, Jessie Reyez, and more. Shortly after the project’s release, a visual for the album cut “Between Us” made landfall. Featuring assistance from Swedish singer Snoh Aalegra, the Nineteen85-helmed offering flips Usher’s 90’s hit “Nice & Slow” and takes heavily from last year’s single “In Between”:

“Let me start by sayin’ sorry, some days I take your time for granted/

You could be the star in my universe, if I just took time to plan it/

Told me secrets you ain’t wanna, trust is big for you, that’s why I’m keeping it a hunna/

Crazy vulnerable shit in common, just keeps us apart when we should be starting, to keep our promises…/”

The Brendan Vaughan-directed visual sees Daniel Daley and Snoh Aalegra starring in their own roles surrounding infidelity, while Nineteen85 plays as the detective who catches the acts of passion as they unfold. The clip ends with Daley seemingly orchestrating an escape for his incarcerated affair.

A Muse In Her Feelings follows their 2016 debut Sept. 5th and 2017’s Morning After, the latter of which earned dvsn a top 40 spot on the Billboard 200. In an interview with GRM Daily, they revealed what they felt about evolution between the projects, or the lack thereof:

“I don’t think our sound so much evolved in that time frame. I think what we did was we started showing the people some of the things we were already doing. We really have been spoon-feeding everything to this point, from visuals, to pictures, different tempos and sounds. With Sept. 5th we gave you like one mood, Morning After was mainly around like situationships and relationships, but again spoon-feeding.”
