Chance The Rapper appreciates spending time with his family while practicing social distancing.

During a recent interview with PEOPLE, the Coloring Book artist opened up about balancing fatherhood amid COVID-19. Chance, who shares two daughters with his wife Kirsten, explained that he is blessed beyond measure. “Being in the position where I have everything that I need and everyone that I need in my house, even though I have to be isolated from everyone else, not being able to see my parents and my grandparents and my friends, but the fact that me and my daughters and my wife all live in one house together is a huge, huge blessing,” Chance said. “I’ve just been taking that in with all the stuff that’s going on.”

In addition to discussing fatherhood, Chance detailed the steps that he’s taken to express his gratitude towards his wife. The Big Day musician confessed that he constantly reminds Kirsten of his love.

“I said ‘I love you’ this morning to my wife and last night in a text message,” he recalled. “It’s very different with this quarantine going on. Between our two kids and trying to keep our house clean, phone calls I have to get on and phone calls she has to get on, we’re trying to find time for each other.”

Earlier this month, Chance dropped a trailer for “Punk’d,” an MTV reboot show that premiered on Quibi network on April 6. In his caption, the Chicago native encouraged everyone to stay safe.

“Sometimes laughter can bring some light,” he wrote. “I’ll be sharing some of my favorite moments from my new show #Punkd on @Quibi throughout the day. The show was such a blessing for us to shoot we had so much fun and i hope it can be a blessing to yall too. Stay safe everyone #socialdistancing.”
